I think i need some best friend therapy.
In the midst of all these mayhem of school work and more school work, i can't help but feel like other aspects of my life are slowly slipping out of my hands.
I know such a situation is inevitable.
But i just want YOU to know that i still luv you alot and have kept you in my prayers.
I know that you've been studying very hard, and I'm sure your effort will pay off!
And, do find a luggage big enough to squeeze me in. I wanna tag along for your summerschool in USA! Kidding lah :P
Can't wait for exams to be over. Then hopefully it'd be back to the good old days before you fly off; the stayovers, baking sessions, (window) shopping, chilling out, sitting together during service and trying to keep quiet and nudging Jo to stay awake.
Watched parts of You've Got Mail during lecture today, on computer-mediated communication. I think the movie portrays the gist of CMC. The fact that there's an element of ambiguity and anonymity; choosing to omit/reveal certain information about yourself to the other party on the other side online. Hence the relationships in general, generated by CMC may be questioned on its genuinity and quality.
So yes, technology in this era surpasses that of the past and has brought about so much convinience and convergence. However, in this aspect, i can't help but think that it also created a transparent barrier between people.
I wanna rent/buy the movie, to watch the entire thingy cos due to time constraints the lecturer chose only certain relevant and important parts to show us. Tom Hanks though not exactly terribly good-looking is in deed rather charming as Joe Fox. And Meg Ryan, I just like her personality and that smile of hers. I'm curious to see for myself what happened in the end between the two of them.
