First meeting for our first essay draft today and we are progressing well. *pats self and everyone else in the group on the back :) After the meeting, Fiona Liling and i headed down to Clementi to watch The Longest Yard. The cinema was very old and run-down, the ticketing system was done manually with pen and paper, and the tickets are those old-school cheapo recycled pink paper. We were super excited and part of the thrill was that we got our tics for five freakin dollars only! We've decided that the Clementi cinema would be our newest hangout after or in between lessons for movies. Anyway, The Longest Yard was a grrrrrrreat show. Adam Sandler. I like him. I liked him in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates too. After the movie we walked out feeling happy and satisfied. It's one of those "feel-good" movies with a happy and good ending which leaves you feeling inspired and positive. Something like Remember the Titans.
Oh, and I'm now a member of VIDEO EZ!!! hahaha. We had some time to kill before the movie started, so we popped into video ez to browse through the dvds and vcds, and signed up for membership.Yay, ive got so many movies i wanna watch.
I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for my film and history module last monday. I can totally relate to Kate Winslet's character, Clementine. She chose to erase certain parts of her memory to escape from her entrapment which she felt. I wish i could do that. But that's being terribly avoidant.
